Canoe Descents

Canoe Descents (4)

Paddling, we can run waterways anciently used by our ancestors feeling nature in a unique way...

This is probably the most searched activity during the warm months of spring and summer. A very well spent day with your friends, relatives or work mates. At the end of the descent, you may have a delicious barbecue waiting !!!

Have a very nice day with your family! Bring your mother in law, your wife, the kids and the dog. Bring the snacks, the drinks and the ice box... Don't forget the sunscreen and the waterproof camera. These are the rafts we use for the rafting activity (rivers classed 3 to 4) and, therefore, are realy, realy stable (The mondego is a mild class 1 river). One of Portugal’s most famous canoe descents. This descent starts just downstream of Penacova…
One of Portugal’s most famous canoe descents. This descent starts just downstream of Penacova and finishes on a river beach near Coimbra, after 12 kms of mildly moving water. In the hot summer nights, this is diferente and “magical” way of enjoying the longest Portuguese river. With a starlit or moonlit sky, you’re able to see enough for a safe descent and the ambience is dazzling. Every now and then, there’s an audacious fish jumping onto the canoe and the upstream warm breeze invites you for a nocturnal swim. A class 1 (initiation) stretch with a spectacular landscape. A very nice alternative to the Mondego river. With a few little rapids, this is a section that, depending on the water flow, might require some moderate skills from the participants. Vouga is a rain fed river which means it might not be doable in the hottest summer months due to the reduced water flow. Springtime is canoe time in Vouga river!   Book now! +351.239.476.701 / +351.918.315.337 / +351.919.079.852 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
